Hot Flashes

The hot flash is the phenomenon which most often prompts a woman to consult a doctor. It is associated with changes in skin temperature, and can be accompanied by bouts of anxiety and insomnia. Around 75% of women experience some degree of hot flashes which can take place for up to two years. However, for 25% of women, the occurrence of flashes can last for five years or longer.
