You will be given instructions by our office on what to do and how to prepare, and some of those instructions are listed below.
On the morning of surgery, shower with soap and water, DO NOT WEAR MAKEUP or CONTACT LENSES. We ask that you don't bring any valuables with you as a precautionary measure. We also ask that you wear comfortable clothing that is easy to put on and take off, and wear sandals or flat shoes.
PATIENT PICK UP:
Due to the fact that you will have received medications it is imperative that someone pick you up and take you home after surgery. Driving yourself home or returning home in a taxi is not acceptable. The person accompanying you must be responsible for driving, or escorting you home by taxi. You will be asked to confirm these details with our staff the day of your surgery.
Those patients staying overnight will be discharged at 9.30 am. the next day. It is highly recommended that someone stay with you the first day following your surgery to help with daily activities and purchase medications and supplies that you may require. If help is not available private nursing services can be arranged.
Our instructions are designed to make your surgery safe and give you the best possible cosmetic result. Following them carefully will help give you a good outcome and prevent your surgery from being cancelled. Dr. Beninger is always available by pager.
We are hear to assist you and answer all of your questions and to help you feel confident and at ease.
