THE SURGICAL CONSULTATION:
A guide to your consultation.
First, read as much as you can from this website, so that you can be prepared to ask questions.
If you decide that we are your choice and we think that you are a good candidate for the
procedure, you will be scheduled for a preoperative examination. The doctor will look you over carefully and has to be sure that your health is good enough for the procedure.
At the Beresford, Mitzie Bone is the Patient Councillor for Dr. Beninger, and her previous experience has been as an aesthetician for 22 years. Mitzie has personally enjoyed the benefits of cosmetic surgery and is able to share her experiences with the patients. Mitzie books the consultation with Dr. Beninger.
Dr. Beninger sees all of his patients at least once or twice prior to surgery. He does this as he knows that patients have a lot of questions to ask about their surgery. The risks and benefits of the surgery are very important as complications could arise although unlikely. Some time is also spent in discussing the bruising 'after' effects of the surgery, as sometimes people aren't prepared to see themselves. Occasionally people will feel depressed after surgery, but very soon this stage will pass and day by day as you go through the healing process you will begin to look better and no longer look like you have just had surgery.
Dr. Beninger is known for the time he spends with his patients and he has said many times that he treats them the way he would like to be treated - personal service and honest opinions.
Cosmetic Surgery procedures are described in detail in cosmetic surgical procedures. Please refer to this section to find your procedure. Jot down questions that you would like to ask Dr. Beninger after you have gone through this site.
Patient contact with Dr. Beninger is extremely important, as he will provide you with answers to other questions that you may have. If the patient wishes to see Dr. Beninger again, then this
is also arranged.(at no additional cost.) All of our staff will be happy to speak with you - you need to have a good feeling about us in order to trust yourself to our care.
Listen carefully to what the doctor tells you and ask lots of questions.
see section: the day of surgery
