Dr. Frank Beninger

The Beresford Cosmetic Surgery, is directed by Dr. Frank Beninger M.D., F.R.C.S. (C). he is also Medical Consultant to the Beresford. Dr. Beninger is a Graduate of Medicine from the University of London, Ontario, and is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Beninger also completed a one-year fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, one of the largest and most renowned plastic surgeons institutions in the world.

Dr. Beninger keeps up to date with new ideas and techniques by attending national and international conferences. It is here that techniques and ideas are exchanged with many surgeons and his peers in the field. He also keeps abreast of the peer reviewed journals for aesthetic surgery and attends several hands-on teaching courses every year.

In his career Dr. Beninger has spent a long time with many different surgeons, enabling him to observe and try many different techniques, in pursuit of excellence. He says "that each patient is individual and each one has their problems, and they all respond differently". According to Dr. Beninger this is not a 'cookie cutter' procedure where the same technique is used for everyone.

As a group, plastic surgeons are constantly exchanging information with each other in order that their specialty may improve, which can only lead to additional benefits for the patient.

Dr. Beninger's philosophy is to provide surgical answers to patients with specific issues. He also screens his patients to determine their motivation for surgery. If they are trying to solve their life's problems with surgery, he will dissuade them from having surgery.

From a technical point of view, Dr. Beninger always tries to provide the most "natural" results to patients. Improving on, or correcting nature, but not creating a' Plastic' or 'Tight' look. A compassionate man, who truly has his patient's welfare at heart, is the key to his success.
